The first Virginia Street Gallery pop-up shop comes to an end on May 29th
The Virginia Street Gallery, an artist and artisan collective, was opened by The Market Umbrella, now known as GrowRVA, in Richmond’s historic Shockoe Slip on November 5, 2011 – Shockoe Design Day.
With its mix of fine arts and curated gallery offerings, the Virginia Street Gallery showcases contemporary elegance in fine arts, clothing, jewelry, furniture, quirky gifts and items for the home in an evolving space that is a short walk from the historic Kanawha Canal.
On May 10th, GrowRVA launched a new outdoor market, the Virginia Street Farmers Market, in Shockoe Slip just down the street from the gallery adjacent to the historic Kanahwa Canal turning basin. This new market provides expanded opportunity for employees of downtown businesses to shop for local produce and wares.
